Shakeup at Simba SC: Benchikha Exits, Mguna Assumes Command

Simba Sports Club, a renowned football club in Tanzania, is going through a transitional phase in their coaching department.

The club recently announced the departure of Algerian tactician Abdelhak Benchikha and his assistants through a mutual contract termination.

The decision came as Benchikha expressed the need to prioritize his family’s well-being, with his wife currently facing health issues back in Algeria.

Simba SC, understanding the personal circumstances, graciously accepted Benchikha’s request and wished him and his wife a swift recovery.

In an official statement released on the club’s social media platforms, including X and Instagram, Simba SC revealed that Juma Mgunda has been appointed as the caretaker coach.

Mgunda, an experienced figure in the football realm, will be supported by Selemani Matola until further decisions are made by the club’s Board of Directors.

With a Premier League match against Namungo looming, the team’s focus now shifts to preparations under Mgunda’s leadership.

The match will take place at Majaliwa Stadium in Ruangwa, Lindi on Tuesday.

Passionate Simba SC fans eagerly anticipate the strategies deployed by Mgunda and the team’s performance as they embark on this new chapter in their football journey.
